The Osburn 3500 will be taking over as the largest wood stove that Osburn produces. A whopping 3.5 cubic foot firebox can generate 110,000 BTUs which can heat up to 2700 square feet. No need to over cut your wood. This stove will take a 22" log. Better yet, load it up with 50 LBS of firewood and enjoy a 10 hour burn time.
Osburn Stoves and inserts are the premium stove line for one of the largest wood stove manufacturer's in North America. Here are some of the features that sets Osburn apart from other stove manufacturers:
- Kiln Fired Clay Firebrick- Which hold up longer than pumice bricks to keep the inside of the stove hotter and burn the wood more completely.

An open fireplace often pulls more heated air (that you already paid to heat) from your home than it produces. Most wood burning inserts will burn between 70% and 85% efficient. This increase in efficiency means you will get much longer burn times and get much more heat while using much less firewood. Less work, more gain. The included blower will give the insert a boost and push heat into your home more quickly.

A chimney liner is a very important part of the installation of a wood-burning appliance when venting into a masonry chimney. All appliances are tested to perform with a pipe of the same diameter as the collar of the appliance. It is expected that this diameter pipe will be used until the venting terminates above the chimney or building. When the smoke leaves the appliance or pipe (if the chimney is left unlined) the smoke expands. When it expands it cools. When it cools, the smoke doesn't travel upward as fast which slows the draft. This causes condensation in the form of creosote on the inside of the fireplace and chimney walls. This creosote is still flammable and if a hot enough fire is burned can ignite and cause a chimney fire. The creosote has to be cleaned from the inside of the chimney more regularly to avoid a chimney fire.
KEY TERMS
- The tee connects through a masonry wall to the stove pipe in the rom. The horizontal section of the tee is removed when installing. It has a hoseclamp connection so the vertical tee section is dropped down through the hoseclamp and then tightened from the inside.
